Gluten Free Cereal Options

We usually eat a naturally gluten free breakfast, such as ful, veggie omelets, fruit smoothies, or scrambled eggs. Sometimes, though, we just don't have time to make a big production out of breakfast and that's when I'm happy there are so many gluten free cereal options.

Many of these are high in sugar and other ingredients you probably don't want your kids eating on a daily basis, but they're still nice to have as a back up plan for lazy days or sick days. They also make nice add-ins for trail mix and snack mix. I'm sure we'll take a couple of these on our upcoming camping trips for that very reason.

Cereals That Are Gluten Free

Bakery On Main

All of Bakery On Main's products are gluten free. Their granola is great eaten as cereal or as part of trail mix. Some flavors include:

Kellogg's

You would assume that Kellogg's Corn Flakes and its regular Rice Krispies are gluten free, but both contain barley malt. Presently, the only gf cereal option from Kellogg's is the Gluten Free Rice Krispies.  This is a special formulation and must be clearly labelled.
